untitled
If you're here, then you probably know me/know of me. If that is the case then you probably already know that I am currently at the University of Leeds, studying Computer Science with Maths. I'm in my first year, meaning I'm 18. And my name is Adam. I play guitar, but not particularly well. I might one day put some music on here, if the mood takes me.

In case you couldn't tell from my course, I enjoy programming. I have made a few actually useful/useable programs in the past. For example, a database for book lending and a simple Alien Invasion clone (both written in VB6). I am currently writing a 'defend your castle' type game with an RTS style of building the base you have to defend. Once I have some idea of AI coding I will expand it into an actual RTS (top down view, no fancy 3D just yet). It is written in Python since that is the most powerful language I am proficient in (I know some C#, but not enough to write a game like this one without struggle). Also it was originally formative (ie. not assessed) coursework for a module at university and one of the requirements was that it is written mostly in Python.

In the past I have also made modifications for a number of games, although only a few have been released into the public domain. One day I will probably release most of them in some state, but the games will probably have little fanbase by then. I mainly modded Age of Mythology and Rome: Total War, with I think one mod actually released for each of those games. I have a large number of Age of Mythology mods that could be released whenever I feel like it, and a total conversion of Rome: Total War that not near to completion.

Anyway, thats enough for now. This page will serve as a blog when I'm not posting on Twitter or Facebook, studying, programming, gaming, or socialising. Or other stuff.
